Solstice has been around horses her whole life. She has ridden in long-distance riding for over 10 years now and has been very successful in FEI so far. She has competed in Young Riders at the Kentucky Horse Park as well as at the North American Endurance Team Challange where Solstice and Glorious Song IA placed 4th as a junior and top 10 overall. Solstice also won a youth exchange trip to Australia to compete in an endurance ride. She was given an Arabian stallion to ride that she had never met before the day of the competition and came 4th in her weight division.
Solstice has also competed in a lot of other disciplines like hunter, jumper, dressage, breed showing and western riding. She has also had lots of experience with training, starting and competing for horses for other owners. Solstice is in her C levels of Pony Club and is working towards her Equine Canada coaching certification.
Phyllis was born and raised on a horse farm. She had moved away from horses and the farm but got back into the horses before she had Solstice. Sharing her love of horses with her daughter has been a great adventure. Phyllis is always improving her own abilities to assure she is doing the best for her four-legged friends. She has shared her knowledge during lessons for the past 30 years. Her experience in Endurance started over 30 years ago with educating herself and learning from others; also helping with pit crewing all over North America.
Dominic was introduced to horses and “caught the bug” at the age of 10 at Summer Camp. Shortly after his family moved to a farm and purchased an Appaloosa pony for him to care for, ride, and grow with. He grew up dairy farming and enjoying every aspect of farm life (with the exception of frozen water pipes) eventually ending up farming and logging with draft horses: first Clydesdales, then Belgians, and finally settling on Percherons. 35 years of learning, farming, working, breeding, training, driving and riding horses has given him a broad perspective. He currently has over 750 competitive miles with OCTRA and AERC. Other talents include construction, steel fabrication and equipment operation and repair to keep our ponies fed and happy.
We are all excited to meet you and see how we can help you and your horse succeed in your partnership for the future
